John Joseph Lindsay, age 84, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. He was born in Wisconsin on June 28, 1923 to his parents John Joseph Lindsay and Fern (Thompson) Lindsay. He was a Civil Engineer and worked for the Federal Government.

He is survived by his wife Maria Ines Lindsay; sons, James Thomas Lindsay and Robert Patrick Lindsay; and daughters, Carmen Maria Lindsay and Cristina Maria Lindsay. He is survived by ten grandchildren, Jessica Jewell Marie Khachi, Justin Marcus Strong Khachi, Jon T. Ryan Khachi, Erica Michelle Vorhees, Joseph Lindsay, Tiffany Rose Lindsay, Savannah Lindsay, Amanda Lindsay, Nicole Lindsay, Sarah Lindsay; and three great grandchildren, Novi Vorhees, Bella Maria Gerardi, and Scarlett Vorhees. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Lindsay and his grandchild Jackie Lindsay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, 37700 St.Francis Court, Purcellville, VA. Flowers, in the form of perennials or bulbs, that can be planted in "Mom's" garden, will be accepted.

Inurnment will occur at Arlington National Cemetery on August 25, 2008 at 3:00 PM. Attendees should meet at Arlington's Administration Office at 2:30 PM.
