John Martin Keane died unexpectedly August 2019 in Sterling, Virginia.  He was born in the army hospital at Ft. Belvoir, Va on July 8, 1958 to John Joseph Keane and Mary Elizabeth Kegel Keane.  He grew up in Ryan and Ashburn, Virginia and graduated from Broad Run High School in 1976. He then worked for and retired from the Loudoun County School system as a facilities maintenance technician.  John spent his youth roaming the open fields and woods of Ryan and Ashburn and later moved to Sterling Park, Virginia.  He was an avid reader of suspense novels and American history with a focus on the Civil War.  He was an avid Rolling Stones concert attendee and also enjoyed camping and being by the river. John was  a long-time member of the Loudoun Elks Lodge #2406.

He is survived by his daughter Savannah Delayne Keane, his father John Joseph Keane (Beth), mother Mary Higgs, sisters Tracy Kiser (Dave), Jennifer Keane (Duke Frederick), Kathy Miceli (Chris), Erin Chontos (Ben).

A family gathering will be held at a later date.
