John A. Norwood, 65, son of Francis and Dorothy Norwood, passed away this Sunday at Reston Hospital Center. He was a longtime resident of Leesburg, VA. He grew up in Lynn Massachusetts and moved with his family to Hollywood Florida. A graduate from Macarthur High School, he then enlisted in the US Air Force and served honorably in Vietnam. Upon his return, he attended Florida State University, graduating in business and computer science, and became a life-long fan of the Seminole football team. After graduation, he moved to Baltimore MD, where he worked for the Social Security Administration.

He was a fan of many sports, particularly the Florida Sate Seminoles, and lived to see the Boston Red Sox win two pennants.

He is survived by his beloved wife Rebecca Norwood, son Christopher, daughter-in-law Erin and grand-daughter Ella, sister Carole (Norwood) Canney and brother-in-law John. Uncle Johnny is also survived by his three nephews; Mike, Tim, Jeff, and niece Cheryl.

The reception was held for family and friends on Tuesday, April 7th in Purcellville, Virginia.
