IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Edward
Otto, Jr.
July 28, 1946 – January 9, 2022
John Edward Otto, Jr. passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 8, 1944 and relocated to Virginia in 1959. After graduation from high school and service in the Air Force, he worked in the automotive aftermarket and industrial roofing industries in sales, attaining positions of manager and general manager in each. His dream was to start his own business, and using his past work experience, he founded Consumer Access Services, Inc. in 1990 and served as Chairman/CEO until he retired in 2012 due to medical issues.
John was preceded in death by his father, mother and younger brother. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy, daughters Melanie and Lisa, and several nieces and nephews.
John had a great sense of humor, enjoyed making family and friends laugh, worked hard throughout his business career and enjoyed the life he and his wife shared. He will be remembered for his great love for her. He often told others that there was no question that God had blessed him with the kindest, most caring and supportive wife he could have hoped for.
John loved animals and was blessed to have raised 3 cocker spaniels, Nicky, Casey and Spunky. He supported several animal rescues and no-kill, non-profit shelters across the country. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue online at Donate | Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue (cockerspanielrescue.com) or by mail at OBG Cocker Rescue PO Box 30821 Bethesda, MD 20824.
