Jose Pablo Castro, 31, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Born on May 20, 1995, Pablo was a deeply devoted husband, son, brother, and loyal friend.

Pablo’s battle began when he was just 5 years old with his first open-heart surgery. Through a lifetime of chronic health issues and endless hospital stays, he was a true superhero — and his real superpower was his invincible, positive attitude. He was a remarkably loving and funny person who always prioritized making his family smile.

Pablo lived out loud. He loved playing music, watching soccer matches in his favorite jersey, and being the anchor of every family gathering.

Even Superman needs to rest. We choose to celebrate his life exactly as he lived it — with a smile on our faces and a positive attitude through it all.

A viewing and service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 3PM to 9PM at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.
