Jourdan Jor'ell Gilliam passed away peacefully in his parents' arms on February 9, 2017 at 7:46 pm at Inova Hospital in Fairfax Virginia. During his fleeting time, he touched many lives and was loved by all who met him.
Born nearly 17 weeks early on January 27, 2017 at 12:20 am and weighing only 1 lb., 2.7 oz., Jourdan was still able to grip his parent's finger, respond to their voices, he even opened his eyes when his father read a letter from his grandmother and reacted when God's name was whispered to him.
Jourdan had a tender face, with soft strands of hair covering his head. He resembled his brothers when his eyes were opened. He had long arms and legs like his daddy. One could imagine him to be taller like his sister.
Jourdan is survived by his parents, Courtnay and Wendelyn Gilliam; his sister Alexus Tucker; his brothers Triston Tucker, and Courtnay Tyler Gilliam Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Winfred and Evelyn Harris; his paternal grandparents, Armstead and Esther Gilliam; great grandmothers Henrietta Miree, Rose Sanders and Joyce Robinson; Aunt and Uncles Renodda Cherry, Rodney and Kami Harris, Jerohn and Lavonda Gilliam his great Aunts and Uncles, Monica,Bell, Karen Vargas, Kevin and Tracy Wideman, Stanley Williams, Edward and Amanda Miree, Charles and Sadie Miree, Mary and Joseph White, Arthur and Brenda Miree, Leroy and Evelyn Miree, Shirley and Carey Nobles, Elton and Viola Harris, Carrie and James Crews, Daniel Harris, Alvis Chandler and Randall and Theresa Sanders. The Horsemen, Uncles Mike, Gerard, Ron; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Celebration of life services for Jourdan will take place on Saturday February 18, 2017 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral home of Leesburg Virginia 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. Leesburg Virginia.
The family would like to thank the Inova Children's Neonatal Hospital staff and the Ronald McDonald House for their effort, support and dedication.

With Jourdan's passing we remind others that life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his loving eyes. He will forever be in our hearts.
