Joyce Elliott Jones, 61, of Berryville, VA passed away June 4, 2014. Joyce was born August 6, 1952 in Alexandria, VA to Norman Leonard Elliott and Sara Catherine Elliott. She was a graduate of Loudoun County High School and served in various positions for federal, state, and local governments for 30 years, before retiring from Loudoun Water.

Joyce was an avid animal lover and devoted much of her time to her many dogs. She also had a passion for leather and beadwork and was a talented seamstress.

Joyce is preceded in death by her father, Norman Leonard Elliott. She is survived by her mother, Sara Catherine Elliott of Leesburg; her husband, David F. Jones of Berryville; her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Abby, and two step-granddaughters; her brother and sister-in-law, Norman Leonard Elliott, Jr. and Pamela Elliott of Bluemont, and their children, Jacob and Katie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 where a service will immediately follow, starting at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Wildlife Federation.
