Joyce Ann Mason, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed peacefully on September 3, 2014 at home in Woodstock, VA, after a brief struggle with cancer. Born August 12, 1946 in Loudoun County VA, Joyce was the daughter of Cornell Duncan and Sally Duncan.
Joyce endured many struggles during her young life, and it was later on in 1966, that she married the love of her life Casper E. Mason Sr., and they resided in Loudoun County, VA, where they decided to have and raise their children. Joyce spent her life being a wife to Casper, a mother to her children, a Grandmother to who grandchildren, all while entertaining her family and friends that so dearly loved her through weekly visits and family dinners. She enjoyed laughing, good music, preparing large dinners, Holidays with her family, and living in the country. Joyce cherished her family and the memories she had with them until God called her home.
Joyce will continue to live on in the memories and hearts of the many lives she touched along life's journey.
Those left to cherish her memories are her Children; Annie Lewis of Front Royal, VA, Barbara Moreno of Woodstock, VA, Brenda Napier of Stephen City, VA, Frances Shinault of Augusta, WV, Casper Mason, Jr. of Toms Brook, VA, Gregory Mason of Woodstock, VA., 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and Sister, June Reno. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Casper E. Mason, Sr., parents Sally and Cornell Duncan and sister Janet Roberts.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday September 11, 2014 between 11:00am and 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 where a service will immediately follow starting at 1:00pm. Following, there will be the burial at Sterling Cemetery.
