IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith K.
Fay
July 29, 1940 – September 29, 2018
Judith "Judy" Kapphan Fay, 78, of Leesburg, Virginia finished her time on earth and entered eternity Saturday, September 29, 2018 at approximately 3:40pm. Judy was born on July 26, 1940 in Johnstown, PA, the only child (through adoption) of Hilda and Howard Kapphan.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie with husband Daniel Henry, and their children Lauren and Shaun; and son Rick, with his wife Guadalupe Fay. In addition, she is survived by three half-sisters she met and connected with, born of her biological mother, who she had not known existed until a series of events allowed their discovery of one another in 2008 (Eileen Rozich, Marie Whorl, and Anne Bane).
Judy grew up in the steel mill town of Clairton, PA, graduating from Clairton High School in 1958. She moved to Northern Virginia in 1970. She had full-time work experience as a homemaker and mom, as well as extensive experience in sales and marketing. She was so friendly and extroverted that kibitzing and having fun came naturally to her and brought joy to those around her. She used her abilities to help many organizations over the years. Since 2014, Judy had lived at Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehab. She was well cared for and everyone always mentioned how happy and pleasant she was despite her having Alzheimer's. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Loudoun Hunger Relief, a charity she was always thrilled to hand out bags for their "Red Bag Sunday" donation drives. https://www.loudounhunger.org/ or 750 Miller Dr, St A-1, Leesburg, VA. 20175
A memorial service will be held in November.
