Junior H. Williams

Devoted, loving husband to Joyce Williams (nee Fortney) who predeceased him. Survived by children to whom he was a selfless, loving father:  sons Jamie and Randy, both of Chantilly, Virginia, and daughter Julie, of Ashburn, Virginia. Son of David and Inez Williams, and brother of Orpha, Mildred, and Cathern, who all predeceased him. Raised on a dairy farm in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Junior joined the United States Air Force and served as a cook at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, among others. He was a Metro bus driver for over twenty years, starting first for the AB&W Transit Company in Alexandria, Virginia. He worked for Pullen Moving Company, Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston, Virginia, and as a driver for Odyssey Dental Lab in Sterling, Virginia. Junior and Joyce married in July 1948 and moved to Alexandria in 1962 and started their family, raising their children in Virginia. Junior loved his family, the United States, country music, the New York Yankees, the Chicago Cubs, the Washington Nationals, and the Washington Capitals. He watched the Nationals' and Capitals' first championships with joy. Floral donations to Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg, Virginia, for the enjoyment of residents, visitors, and staff, or donation to your charity of choice, are appreciated. There was never a person, including strangers, Junior wouldn't help if he was able. Whenever you are in a position to help someone in any way, your help would be a great tribute to Junior's memory.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on January 3, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 210 Edwards Ferry Road, NE, Leesburg, Virginia. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial at Quantico National Cemetery will follow the service.
