Karen Renee Reed of Seminole, Florida departed this life unexpectedly on September 7, 2021. Karen was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was born December 5, 1960 to Clyde and Nadine Ottinger. She grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia where she met her late husband, Donald C. Reed. Karen and Donald married in 1980 and had two children, Jenna D. Reed and Brett A. Reed. She worked as a federal employee for over 30 years and retired in 2016. She then moved to Seminole, Florida to fulfill her dream of living by the beach.  She had so much love for many things in life and cared deeply for her family (especially her 4 grandsons), her friends, the beach, music, having a good time and laughing. Karen's love for life will live on in her legacy, her two children and wonderful four grandsons.

Karen is survived by her loving parents Clyde and Nadine Ottinger; her wonderful sister, Diana Ottinger; her two devoted children, Jenna Nomikos and Brett Reed; her beloved fiancé Greg Taylor; her loving son-in-law, Nicholas Nomikos; her loving daughter-in-law, Crystal Reed; and her four amazing grandsons, Nikias Nomikos, Alexander Nomikos, Zachary Nomikos and Daniel Reed. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald C Reed.
