Katherine Anne McClanahan (nee Lee) passed away peacefully at Morningside House of Leesburg, VA at the age of 91 on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.  She leaves behind her son John and daughter-in-law Liz of Shady side, Md, daughter Julie and son-in-law Sai of Waterford, VA. and son Mark and daughter-in-law Leila of Hyattsville, MD.  Also, granddaughters Kayti and Molly and great grandson Rowan.

Anne was known for her love of traveling, needlework, volunteer work and of course, her beloved Baltimore Oriole Baseball Team.

She and her husband, Calvin "Mac" McClanahan (deceased in 1992) raised their children in Hyattsville, Maryland, where they lived for over 30 years.  Following the death of her husband she moved to Leesburg, Virginia there she became very active at the senior center, various stitching groups, quilting groups and other community activities.  She will truly be missed by family and friends alike.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church (Chapel) in Leesburg on Friday June 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be held at George Washington Cemetery in Adelphi, Maryland on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 am.
