With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Kathleen Ann Koritko, age 86, on October 22, 2025, in Leesburg, Virginia.

Born on July 12, 1939, in Monroe, Michigan, Kathleen was raised in Erie, Michigan, by her parents Aloysius and Mildred Dusseau, alongside her brother, Arlen Dusseau.

A proud graduate of Siena Heights College, class of 1961, Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, including teaching assignments in Amman, Jordan, and Islamabad, Pakistan. After a brief tenure with the U.S. State Department, Kathleen pursued her passion for design, earning a degree in Interior Design. Her remarkable talent and dedication were recognized in 1998 when she received the Ethan Allen National Circle of Excellence Award, the company's highest honor for excellence in design and service. Her family took great pride in her joy and success doing what she loved.

Above all, Kathleen was a devoted and loving mother. She cherished her family and friends, radiating warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever she went. Always ready with a smile, she had a gift for making others feel comfortable and welcome. She enjoyed social gatherings, bridge games, and later in life, discovered a true love of golf.

Kathleen is survived by her dedicated and beloved life partner, Robert Fox; her three children, Kerry (Ingrid), Wendy, and Kristin (David); and her four adored grandchildren, Parker, Caroline, Natalie, and Julia. Her presence will be deeply missed and her memory forever treasured.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on November 1, 2025, from 1 PM to 6 PM, at Dusseau's Reception Center, 12200 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, Michigan, 48182.

In Leesburg, a Catholic service will be held at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (101 Oakcrest Manor Dr NE Leesburg, VA 20176) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 10:00 am.

A reception will follow at the River Creek Club House (43800 Olympic Blvd
Leesburg, VA 20176) from 11:30 to 2:30.
