On May 9th 2011, Kathleen Mary Regan passed away after a long and arduous battle with Progressive Bulbar Palsy. Kathleen was born on March 11, 1926 in Rockville, CT and was one of five children to Mabel and Thomas Regan.

Kathleen loved many things, but most of all her children, grandchildren and her travels to Ireland, home of her ancestry. She leaves with loving memories; her children, Kathy Locraft (husband Rob), James Gestiehr, Timothy (Chip) Gestiehr (wife Debby); her grandchildren, Sarah, Anastasia, Devon, Madison and Davis. Kathleen was the beloved sister of Bud Regan (wife Mary), Tom Regan, Mary Jane Arico (deceased), and Jim Regan (deceased). She is survived by countless other family and friends who were blessed to have known her.

The family invites all of Kathleen's friends to come and celebrate her life with them, and requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her name to either Evercare Hospice of Reston, 12018 Sunrise Valley Dr # 400, Reston, VA 20191 or the ALS Association DC, MD, VA Chapter, 7507 Standish Place. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 13th, 2011 at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd.
