Obituary

Kathleen Sinise White, 54, died on Thursday, October 25, 2012, surrounded by family and friends at her home in Leesburg, Virginia. Born in Hazelcrest, Illinois, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 12. Kathleen graduated from Apollo High School, and immediately joined the United States Navy. She was stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola and served as a member of the VT-86 Sabrehawk Training Squadron. Upon release from active duty, Kathleen returned to school and received her Associate's Degree from Glendale Community College in Glendale Arizona. She later affiliated with the Navy Reserve. It was in the Navy Reserve that Kathleen met her husband Paul White; Kathleen and Paul married on June 13, 1987. Shortly after they married, Kathleen and Paul moved to Virginia. For more than 14 years, she was a faithful member of St. James' Episcopal Church in Leesburg where she led the Altar Guild and served as Director of Sunday School. In addition, Kathleen was an active volunteer with the Loudoun Ballet Company for many years.
A loving wife, mother, and friend to all whom she met, Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Paul, and their dear daughters Megan and Leah, of Leesburg; her mother, Jacqueline Castillo, her sister, Karen Christopolos, and her brother, Timothy Sinise, all of Phoenix; and her stepdaughter, Adrienne Schniedmiller also of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Sinise, and her stepson, Christopher White.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 on Thursday, November 1, 2012 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The Burial of the Dead and A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for Kathleen's life will take place on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 12:00 noon at St. James' Episcopal Church, 14 Cornwall Street, N.W., in Leesburg. Immediately following the service, the Committal will take place at Union Cemetery, with a reception afterwards in the St. James' Fellowship Hall located at the corner of Wirt and North Streets.
