Obituary

Kathleen Wolanin (age 70) passed away on November 28, 2020. She was born in Maine and lived in Loudoun County. A loving mother who was the rock of the family. She kept people entertained with laughter and her (in a good way) sarcastic sense of humor. Kathleen is survived by her husband Mark W. Wolanin; son Franklin B. Turner Jr., daughter Leona J. Turner and two grandsons Coron H. Turner & Frank A. Turner. As well as her brothers Paul Cormier (wife Lynette) and Matthew Cormier (wife Helen). She was preceded in death by her parents Col. Everette L. Cormier and Roberta O. Cormier.

I miss you Mom, I thought about you with love today, but that's nothing new

I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too I think of you in silence

All I have are memories and your picture in a frame

God has you in his keeping I have you in my heart

Your loving daughter, Leona

I was your angel, Now you are mine

Now I know why you always told me to be strong

You knew that one day I would need the strength to bear your loss

Your son, Frank

Great mother for her children and grandchildren. I know she loved animal as she wanted to be a veterinarian at one point in her life. She loved surrounding herself with family and doing arts like knitting and watching tv. in her younger days she participated in a lot of other things, like attending concerts of bands she genuinely loved. She was referred to as the "snapping turtle" to her dearest because although she was so sweet and loving, with a flip of a switch could be stern and let you know to cut it out! She always reminded me to stay positive and helped me form my favorite phrase "sweet dreams of victory; it's a beautiful day, nothin can go wrong". That just always reminded me to smile and not let things ruin my day.  From your Grandson, Coron
