Kelly Ann Cohun served her country as a United States Diplomat in the Foreign Service, bringing steadiness, intellect, and compassion to a demanding vocation. She approached every challenge with a balanced mindset: learning with passion, leading with intention, and acting with humanity. Through her work she used her influence to make the world a better place and was always prepared for a thoughtful, well-informed discussion. Kelly most importantly loved her friends and family.

Kelly attended Westminster Elementary schools, Northfield Mount Hermon boarding school and went on to study at American University, Georgetown University, University of Maryland and Duke University, where she deepened her knowledge and prepared for a life of service.

Kelly was known for her calm curiosity, her readiness to engage, and her capacity for kindness. She combined professional rigor with warmth and carried herself with a dignity that invited trust and respect. Small acts of generosity and a steady moral compass defined how she lived each day.

Kelly most importantly loved her friends and family. She is survived by her immediate family: Brent, Nora, and Parker; her parents, Christine and Jack; and her sister, Kristel and family: Pat, Kurt, Krystah, Klara. Many relatives and close friends will miss her deeply. Her presence—her laughter, her counsel, and her devotion—left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
