Kim-marie Brown, a beloved wife, sister, mother, and dedicated educator, passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 53. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Winston and Cecile Pigott, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with her two brothers.

Kim-marie pursued her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Florida State University. Her commitment to helping others led her to work at Refuge House, a shelter for survivors of domestic violence, during college. Kim-marie earned a Master's in School Counseling from Virginia Tech and later a Master's in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University. Later in life, Kim-marie had the honor to sit with judges and senators on the Virginia Child Support Guidelines Review Panel.

For 19 years, she was a valued member of Loudoun County's educational community. She spent 16 years as a counselor at Heritage High School before becoming the Director of School Counseling at Park View High School in 2021. Her leadership and compassion left an indelible mark on countless students and colleagues.

Kim-marie's deep faith guided her life. She instilled values of love, kindness, and faith in her sons, Jamie and Noel. Her personal life was marked by love and family. She married Ebi Soroush in 2013, was a cherished mother to her sons Jamie and Noel Brown, and was a beloved stepmother to Parsa, Sebastien, and Mana Soroush.

She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and creating cherished memories during family trips and gatherings. Kim-marie's legacy is one of dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to others.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ebi Soroush, her sons Jamie and Noel Brown, her stepchildren Parsa, Sebastien, and Mana Soroush, her brothers Paul, Michael & Winston Jr. Pigott, sister-in-law Hope Pigott, and her nieces Madisen, Eden, and Jade Pigott. She is reunited in Heaven with her father, Winston Pigott, her mother, Cecile Pigott, and her beloved aunt Pauline Pigott.

A celebration of her life will be held on June 2nd, 2024, at 2:30pm, at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia, where family, friends, and colleagues will honor her memory.
