Lee Ross Grunewald, age 79, died February 28, 2021 after a long illness.  He is survived by his wife, Ellen, of the home, a sister, Dixie Strickler, of Woodward, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lahoma Grunewald, and a sister, Billie Ogden.

Lee was a native Oklahoman and maintained life long bonds with friends across the state.  Lee served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Okinawa during the Cuban missile crisis.  He worked for Rosenthal Jaguar and Land Rover for several years prior to retirement in 2006.

Lee loved nature, art, music and reading.  He spent many happy hours in his garage painting with acrylics and giving family and friends his painted tee shirts and pictures.  He particularly loved entertaining the neighborhood kids.

Lee was a beloved and loyal friend.  He will be remembered as a man with a ready smile, a quick wit and a good heart.

Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital Caring Hospice, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
