LOVETTSVILLE - Lidia Marie Maldonado-Kelley, 7, of Lovettsville, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
Lidia was a special needs child who, with her gentle soul and occasional smile, exuded compassion, love and a feeling of peace just by her presence. She loved to be held and talked to, and will be greatly missed by her friends, family and many who knew her.
Lidia was born October 30, 2005 in Alexandria, VA. She is survived by her father, David B. Kelley of Lovettsville, sisters Jacqui Renager and Leah Carden of Virginia Beach, VA and Sarah Elkins of Leander, TX, brother Nick (& aunt Jenn) Kelley of Virginia Beach, VA and grandmother Verla Kelley-Johnson of East Peoria, IL. She is also survived by nieces Kalli Robinson, Inca and Felix Krones and Makensi Carden, nephews Jackson and Crow Renager, and uncles Gary and David Whitehead. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gail A. (Whitehead) Kelley and brother Manual Canales-Kelley, both of Lovettsville.
The family requests that donations be made to favorite charities in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday April 5, 2013 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, VA.
