Linda Michelle Manthei of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away on August 26th, 2019. She had been living with metastatic breast cancer since September of 2015 and died from complications of her disease. In the years since she learned of her diagnosis, she fought with dignity and with a smile always on her face choosing to keep her focus on the positive. She enjoyed the time she had left on this earth, despite the debilitating side effects of her medications, multiple hospitalizations, and the ever-present knowledge that her disease was terminal. She will be greatly missed.

Linda loved to laugh and was a joy to be around. She was athletic and enjoyed bicycle riding, tennis, hiking, and spending time outdoors and in the mountains. She was retired from her jobs as a computer application trainer and as a system administrator, choosing to stay home after her daughter was born. She met the love of her life at work and celebrated her 20 ^th wedding anniversary the week before her passing.

Linda loved to travel, and in her lifetime, visited more than 20 countries. Her favorite travel destination was Switzerland, especially the Lauterbrunnen region. Linda was passionate about her family and supported her daughter's activities throughout her years in school.

Linda is survived by her husband, Lee, daughter, Quinn, and parents, Stuart and Sharon Brown, all residing in Ashburn, Virginia, and her brother, Glenn Brown and his family in San Antonio, Texas.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 11 am at the Leesburg Presbyterian Church, 207 West Market Street in Leesburg.
