Our beloved sister, Linda Traficante, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21st after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Although her body failed her, that amazing spirit of hers remained until her earthly passing. She is now rejoicing with her beloved family and friends who passed before her. We are grieving her loss here on earth but thankful for the knowledge that she has returned to our Heavenly Father. Although her death has left a terrible void and one which can never be filled, we will never forget her and never stop loving her, our sweet Linda. Death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life. She is predeceased by her parents Daniel and Rosalie Traficante. She is survived by four siblings, Deborah Traficante, Douglas Traficante, Diane Traficante and Kathleen McCraw, three nieces, Rose Traficante, Teresa Davis, Amanda Traficante and a nephew Joseph Fellows, Uncle Bobby Rendelman and Aunts Cathy Rendelman and Edna Rendelman, Cousins David and Karla Rendelman and children of Dave and Karla: Tyler, Nathan and Bryson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27th in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, 21015 Claiborne Pkwy, Ashburn, Virginia at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the funeral, there will be light refreshments, a Remembrance Area with photos and visiting with family in the Relief Society Room of the Church. At noon, the family will depart for Parklawn Cemetery, 12899 Veirs Mill Rd, in Rockville, Maryland for a short graveside service. Friends are welcome, but should not feel obligated to attend the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution be made to Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Leesburg, VA in the memory of Linda Traficante. The nursing home treated Linda with dignity and love during her 18 months there. They are the kindest, most caring facility we have ever known. We're so grateful we entrusted our beloved Linda with these "ministering angels".
