Lisa Anna Hessler, 58, of Ashburn, Virginia, unexpectedly passed away of natural causes in her sleep on Saturday, February 13th, 2016.

Lisa was born on February 13th, 1958 in Dallas, Texas, and spent her early years in Falls Church, Virginia. She later graduated from Jebb Stuart High School. She was a graduate of the University of Richmond Business School. During her career, Lisa worked as an accountant in Washington, DC area law firms. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and she especially adored making jam for all of her family and friends every berry season. She was an avid quilter and created beautiful quilts which she gave to her loved ones. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing "toe monster" with her grandson, and she never hesitated to lovingly call something "just fabulous."

Lisa was a loving mother to her sons Edward and Joseph Theil, the adoring wife of William "Duke" Hessler, and loving daughter of Edmund Sonnenschein. Lisa was also a loving step-mother to Robby Hessler and Kim Quinteros, and a playful Nana to her grandson, Jackson Quinteros. Lisa was preceded by her mother, Bettye Sonnenschein.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 22nd, 2016 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA 20176, where funeral services will immediately follow starting at 3:00 pm. Private cremation immediately following.
