Lois B. Cleveland of Potomac Falls, Virginia passed away on October 7, 2008.
Mrs. Cleveland was a homemaker and the proud wife of 66 years to the late Harlan Cleveland.
She was born in Oregon on June 12, 1916 to the late Delbert and Zoa (Toothacher) Burton.
As a younger woman, Mrs. Cleveland was a very gifted pianist. She shared her talent with others in giving lessons and performing concerts. During these younger years she was introduced to a young man who shared her love for music as well as being a talented tenor. He was wishing to hire someone who could assist him. Upon seeing her wonderful ability to read music, she was chosen.
They later married and she continued to assist him; not only as his wife and mother to their three children but as his greatest supporter in his many accomplishments.
Left behind to share the memories are her daughters, Zoe Cleveland and Melantha Cleveland and her son Alan T. Cleveland all of Palmyra, Virginia, and a grandchild, Jan Harlan Kalicki.
Family and friends are invited to the Falcon's Landing Chapel in Potomac Falls, Virginia on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. where a memorial service will be held in her honor.
