Lois Muncy Simpson, 93 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on June 20, 2024, in Leesburg, Virginia.  Lois was born in Ashburn, Virginia, the 5th child of Orville and Maude Muncy.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Maude Muncy, her husband James Simpson, her sisters Geneva Steadman, Betty Gregory, Patty Kelley and Barbara Moore, and her brothers Ralph, Bill, Robert, Clifford, Paul Edward and David

She is survived by her loving son, Barry Simpson of Leesburg, one sister Peggy Shugars of Purcellville and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Lois was employed briefly at "Alberts", a beauty shop in downtown Leesburg and later as a teacher assistant for special needs children for Loudoun County Public Schools.  She enjoyed raising children, hosting family reunions, singing in the church choir and arts and crafts.  She continued her crocheting until her death.

A Celebration of Lois's life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. James Episcopal Church, 8 Cornwall Street. NW. in Leesburg, Virginia.  A reception to follow in the church parish hall.  Interment will be private.
