Lois Jean (Flickema) Weight, 82, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Mercy House in Chambersburg, PA. Born on September 7, 1943, in Muskegon, MI, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Isabel (Moss) Flickema.

Lois worked as a Freight Transportation Management Specialist for the Military Management Command, Department of the Army in Falls Church, VA, before retiring in 1998. She married her first husband, Giles Russell Walters, on May 25, 1963, in Arlington, VA, and they shared 19 years together before his passing on December 5, 1984. On March 15, 1986, she married her second husband, James Edward Weight, also in Arlington, VA, and they enjoyed 24 and a half years of marriage until his passing on August 10, 2010. Lois was active in the Waynesboro Lioness Club and was a member of NARFE Chapter 1063 in Chambersburg. She loved jigsaw puzzles, gardening, antique shopping, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and traveling with her late husband Jim.

She is survived by her son, Michael Walters (wife Holly), her grandson Brandon Walters, all of Waynesboro, and her dog Dusty. Along with her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her first husband Giles Walters, second husband James Weight, daughter Melinda Walters, sister Leone Flickema, brother Richard “Dick” Flickema, and her dog Pumpkin. 

A service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA, with Pastor Barney officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 A.M., and burial will follow immediately at Union Cemetery in Leesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy House, 730 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
