Louis Edgar Etcher, Jr., 75, of Ashburn, Virginia died on June 23, 2011 in Leesburg, Virginia.
Louis (affectionately known as Buster or Scratch) was born in Leesburg, Virginia into a family with a long history in Loudoun County. He grew up in Ashburn, Virginia and graduated from Leesburg High School. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, he worked as a surveyor for over thirty-five years, first for the Virginia Department of Highways and then for Fairfax County before retiring. Louis loved playing cards and shooting pool. He was also a car enthusiast and devoted dad. He carried on the family tradition and enjoyed living in Loudoun his entire life.
He is survived by his two daughters, Donna Lee Etcher of South Riding, Virginia and Lisa Ann Etcher of Fredericksburg, Virginia as well as his close friend Nancy Carroll.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 am at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, Virginia.
