Lucille Merchant Muse, 88, passed away at her residence in Leesburg, Virginia on Friday, August 1,2008. She was the wife of the late J. Lawrence Muse, funeral director and partner of Muse and Reed Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia, which is now the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg.

She is survived by her children, Margaret Carpenter of Winchester, VA, Joy Griffith, Rachel Roberts and Dowell Muse all of Leesburg, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, A1C Rob Muse, Sarah Muse, Molly Benn, Lucy Roberts, Sally Roberts, John Roberts, Paul Carpenter and Jay Carpenter.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, August 3 from 5PM to 7PM at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 4 at St. James Episcopal Church, 14 Cornwall Street NW at 11AM. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg.
