Lydia, who loved to be called "Nannie" by her grandson, departed her loving family on December 9, 2023.

Lydia was born and raised in New York "a true Native New Yorker."  She was a bookkeeper by trade and after work loved to shop at Lord and Taylor's and Macy's Manhattan.  She also loved to travel in her younger years.  She traveled through Europe and Egypt and had many wonderful stories and photos to share.

In recent years, her favorite past times were to watch her grandson play baseball.  She also loved to sit on the front porch, or as she referred to it as "Porchie" with her grandson and the family dog Stryker.

Lydia is survived by her son John, daughter-in-law Mary, and grandson Johnnie.

Family will receive visitors on January 5, 2023, at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE., Leesburg, VA  20176 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
