Margaret T. "Peggy" Lind of Leisure World in Lansdowne, VA went to be with our Lord on Friday morning, April 4th.  She left behind to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, three children, Kathleen Gathmann (Kenneth), John Lind (Lila), and Diane Petrella (Ron).  She also lives in the hearts of her nine grandchildren, Bethany Lind Mendenhall (Eric), Christopher Gathmann (Lindsay), Joel Lind (Brittany), Jennifer Gathmann (Aaron), Abigail Lind, Kaitlin Petrella, James Lind (Joy), Karly Petrella, and Jonathan Lind.

Peggy drove a school bus in the Sterling area for several decades.  She learned the name of every child in her care.  She really enjoyed the Outer Banks of NC where she and her husband Sammie (d. 2011) eventually built a cottage.  For 20 years it was the delight of the whole family.  She also enjoyed reading and watching mysteries and going for walks.  Everyone she encountered received her ready smile.

Family will receive friends between 2:00 and 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176, with the funeral service will immediately following at 3:00 pm.  Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will follow at a later date.
