Margaret Anne Wisniewski, 61, of Leesburg Va passed away on Thursday, September 7th at Johns Hopkins Univeristy Hospital.  She is survived by her husband John, two children, Shannon and Kyle and one granddaughter, Addison, who was the light of her life.  Margaret was born in King City, California Oct 1, 1961.  She married her husband in June 1989 in California.  During their marriage they travelled across the country, with their cats, to Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Hampshire and finally settling back in Leesburg VA in 1999.  Margaret was a teacher's aide at Balls Bluff Elementary School. She loved the time she spent with the faculty and her students, and being stopped around town by students for conversations and hugs. She will be remembered for always wearing her high heeled shoes and the sound of her heels going down the hallway.  When she was not at work she spent her time making memories with her family, whether it was at cover rock band gigs, dancing the night away, or going to Renaissance Faires while sporting only the best fashions of the time. She loved her family, her cats, shoes, Hallmark Christmas movies, Korean drama TV shows, tattoos and volunteering at the local cat rescue. She was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer in August 2022 and despite chemo, radiation and surgery and a tough fight, she was not able to beat the disease.

The family will receive family and Friends at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  This will be followed by a gathering at her school, Balls Bluff Elementary School in the cafeteria from 12:30 to 2:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a memorial donation in Margaret's honor to a cancer foundation or to the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington.
