Marguerite Ann Korn of Ashburn, Virginia, 86 years, passed away suddenly on October 17, 2016 at Loudoun INOVA Hospital.  Marguerite was a beloved community member at Ashby Ponds for over eight (8) years.  Marguerite was born on December 21, 1929 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Loretta T.  and William Gorman.  Marguerite is survived by her husband, Charles W., of 63 years, brother and sister-in-law, James and Joyce Gorman, sister-in-law, Gloria Andrews, and brother-in-law, Douglas Korn.  Marguerite was predeceased by her brother, William Gorman and nephew, Richard Andrews and brother in law Theodore Andrews.  Marguerite has two children, Karla Shepard of West Newbury, Massachusetts and Dr. Charles J. Korn of Chantilly, Virginia.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Brenden, Kyle, Colin, Jacqueline, and Michelle and several nieces, Brenda, Ann Marie, and Donna and a nephew Steven and their families.  Before moving to Virginia, Marguerite raised a family in Westford, MA and earned her BA in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work with Honors from Rivier University in Nashua, NH.  Marguerite had a love for travel, especially to Ireland where she enjoyed dual citizenship.  Marguerite enjoyed knitting and crocheting and also had a passion for playing bridge.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church of Ashburn, VA at 21371 St. Theresa Lane on December 21, 2016 at 10:30 am, followed by a reception celebrating her life at the Great Oaks Clubhouse Banquet Room at the Ashby Ponds Residence Community at 44755 Audubon Square, Ashburn, Virginia 20147 .

Her remains will be interred at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Lowell, Massachusetts.
