Maria Isabel Torero de Moreyra died on the feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary on September 12, 2020 at 9 in the morning in her loving daughter's home in Winchester, VA. Maria Isabel was a breast cancer survivor and later in life suffered from Parkinson's disease which ultimately resulted in the decline of her health and sudden death on Saturday morning.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jose Luis, her children Ursula, Andres, and Stephanie. Her son in laws, Edwin and Marc-Anthony, her 8 grandchildren, and her brothers  Emilio, Humberto, and Cesar.

Maria Isabel was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and spiritual and godmother to many. Her closest friends and family lovingly knew her as Chabuca or Majoncha. She was born at home on May 26, 1955 in Barranco, Lima, Peru to her parents Isabel Laines and Meliton Torero and is predeceased by her parents and her brothers Jorge and Javier, May they Rest In Peace.

Maria Isabel was loved by many who were outside of her biological family including her brothers and sisters in Christ from the Juan XXIII Ministry she devoted over 20 years of her life to both in Peru and the US from 1993 until the last days of her life.

She immigrated to the US with her husband and three children in 2000 and worked as a bus attendant for Loudoun County Public Schools for 10 years.

Maria Isabel lived a life of service to the Lord, family and community. She was known for her great sense of humor, being a sincere listener, her homemade food she always made with love and close attention to detail, and her love for flowers. She loved all occasion for celebration and always longed for visits to her homeland and family in Peru.

As she became handicapped in the last years of her life she did not waste the opportunity to offer up her suffering and seek spiritual perfection. Her family will miss her loving and peaceful presence and the quality time she  devoted to them all in her last years.

May the Lord grant her a great place in heaven and eternal rest unto her soul. Until we meet again, see you in the Eucharist.

María Isabel Torero de Moreyra murió en la fiesta del Santísimo Nombre de María el 12 de septiembre de 2020 a las 9 de la mañana en la casa de su amada hija en Winchester, VA.  María Isabel fue una sobreviviente de cáncer de mama y más tarde en su vida sufrió la enfermedad de Parkinson que finalmente resultó en el deterioro de su salud y muerte súbita el sábado por la mañana.

Le sobreviven su esposo durante 40 años, José Luis, sus hijos Úrsula, Andrés y Stephanie.  Sus yernos, Edwin y Marc-Anthony, sus 8 nietos y sus hermanos Emilio, Humberto y Cesar.

María Isabel fue una amorosa esposa, madre, hija, abuela, hermana, tía, prima y madre espiritual y madrina de muchos.  Sus familiares y amigos más cercanos la conocían cariñosamente como Chabuca o Majoncha.  Nació en casa el 26 de mayo de 1955 en Barranco, Lima, Perú de sus padres Isabel Laines y Meliton Torero y falleció antes que sus padres y sus hermanos Jorge y Javier, Que descansen en paz.

María Isabel era amada por muchos que estaban fuera de su familia biológica, incluidos sus hermanos y hermanas en Cristo del Ministerio Juan XXIII desde el 1993 hasta los ultimos dias de su vida en Perú como en Estados Unidos.

Ella emigró a los Estados Unidos con su esposo y tres hijos en el 2000 y trabajó como asistente de autobús para las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Loudoun por 10 años.

Isabel vivió una vida de servicio al Señor, a la familia y a la comunidad.  Era conocida por su gran sentido del humor, ser una oyente sincera, su deliciosa comida preparada con amor y su amor por las flores.  Amaba toda ocasión de celebración y siempre anhelaba las visitas a su tierra natal y a su familia en el Perú.

Desde su diagnostico de Parkinson's en los últimos años de su vida, no desperdició la oportunidad de ofrecer su sufrimiento y buscar la perfección espiritual.  Su familia extrañará su presencia amorosa y el tiempo de calidad que dedicó a ellos.

Que el Señor le conceda un gran lugar en el cielo y un descanso eterno.  Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar, nos vemos en la Eucaristía.
