Obituary

Mariana C. York, 66, of Leesburg died April 20, 2012 after a long illness from cancer. She was born March 25, 1946 in Imbato, Ecuador. Her family owned Ecuador Airlines in South America. She moved to the U.S. in 1969 and resided in Georgetown and later in McLean, Virginia. She worked as a clinical esthetician and skin therapist specializing in derma-corrective skin care. She trained at renowned skincare institutes in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. In 2002 she relocated her spa business from McLean, VA and opened Lotus Day Spa at Market Station in Leesburg.
She is survived by her husband, James T. York, a retired FBI agent and former Assistant Director of Interpol in the U.S., as well as her son, Ricardo Morey of San Diego, CA.
A visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on April 24, 2012 at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg. A mass will be held on April 25, 2012 at 10am at the Little Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Leesburg.
