Loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend, Agnes Marie Ausley Emig passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 while residing at Heritage Hall nursing home in Leesburg ,Virginia. Born on January 3, 1925 in Lillington, North Carolina she was the proud daughter of Samuel H. and Bessie Mae Hilliard Ausley. She later married Robert (Bob) Emig and together they were blessed with a daughter named Linda. Marie and Bob were further blessed with a granddaughter named Lindsay. She will be dearly missed but her memories will live on in those she leaves behind - her daughter Linda Mallott, son-in-law Mike Mallott, granddaughter Lindsay Mallott all of Leesburg, Virginia, her brother Sam Ausley Jr., sisters Maydell Ausley Hatley and Mary Ausley Jones, L. Wyatt Ausley, and Joyce Collier Gies.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Lieut. Col. Robert (Bob) Emig who was laid to rest with full honors on March 20, 2001 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. She was also predeceased by brothers Doyce E. Ausley and Elbert M. Ausley, parents Samuel Hal Ausley and Bessie Mae Hilliard Ausley and a very special stepmother Inez Collier Ausley.
Marie will most be remembered as a wonderful homemaker, gourmet cook, the pride she took in her lawn and garden and as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with her loving husband at a date yet to be determined.
