Marie Cyrus Householder of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on January 26, 2024, at Inova Fairfax.

Marie was born on September 2, 1946, to Clarance and Edna Cyrus in Cary, North Carolina. After Marie graduated from Cary High School, she moved to Virginia where she would later meet and marry the love of her life, Harry Householder in 1978.

Marie spent most of her life as the Property Manager of Waverly Park. She began her career of volunteering in the early 1980's and dedicated countless hours to The Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad, The State AVAVRS and was a founding member of the (Ladies) Auxiliary of Loudoun Rescue.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edna Cyrus and her sister, Ruth Cyrus. She is survived by her beloved Husband Harry Householder, Daughter Tonya Nichols (George), Stepdaughter Nancy White (Matt), Stepson Norman Dyson (Vicki), Grandchildren Elizabeth Grubbs (Thomas), Alexandra Wolfe (Derik), John Payne III (Katlin), Tyler Jennings, Katelyn Payne, Dylan Jacobik, Morgan Jacobik, Ryan Jacobik, Matthew White, Lillie Corrier and many beloved Great Grandchildren. Niece Linda Fuller (Ethan), Nephew Larry Cyrus (Jamie).

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 20, 2024, from 1-4 pm Founders Hall 20688 Ashburn Rd. Ashburn, Virginia 20147

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Canine Cancer Research at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, a cause that Marie felt strongly about.
