IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilee C.
Little
April 27, 1943 – January 16, 2023
On Monday, January 16, 2023, Marilee Carr Little entered eternal rest in the loving care of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 79.
Born in Buffalo, New York on April 27, 1943 to Edward and Mary (Weitz) Carr, Marilee attended the University of Buffalo and worked as a supervisor at the telephone company before her marriage to her husband, Robert J. Little, on January 24, 1970. As avid skiers, they spent their honeymoon on the slopes of Aspen, Colorado. Marilee and Bob went on to have two children, Aimee and Josh, and lived in Buffalo, New York; Greensboro, North Carolina: and Morristown, New Jersey before retiring to Charleston, South Carolina and finally living in Leesburg, Virginia to be closer to their family.
Marilee was a devout Catholic, an outstanding cook, and was well-known for her daily speed walks, often accompanied by a yellow labrador. Marilee loved to golf, and she and Bob were members of Spring Brook Country Club and the Dunes West Golf Club. They traveled extensively, vacationing in Italy, Ireland, France, Bermuda and several of the Caribbean islands. Before retiring in 2000 after 17 years, Marilee worked at the Alfred Vail School, where she was beloved by students and colleagues and was recognized for her excellent performance.
Marilee is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob; her daughter Aimee (Brian) Brobst; her son, Josh (Molly) Little; her five beloved grandchildren, Carter, Blake, Evelyn, James, and Josephine; and her sister (Deborah Brassel) who resides in East Amherst, New York.
Marilee will be remembered as a very kind, upbeat, generous, and selfless person who will be deeply missed by her many friends and family members.
A family service will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Ashburn, Virginia.
