August 12, 1935 - April 5, 2022

Marilyn A. Wears , 86, of Leesburg, VA (formerly of McKees Rocks, PA) passed away peacefully on April 5, 2022  at Heritage Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation.  Marilyn was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa May. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Tom) Wears, son Steve Wears, and her brother, John May.

She is survived by two sons, William F. Wears, (Mary Helen) , Thomas J. Wears(Nicole) and three surviving sisters, Eileen McMahon(late Joseph McMahon), Shirley Panno (late Joseph Panno) and Catherine Smith(Richard). She had three grandchildren, Matthew Moxley(Gina), Jessica Vera(Andrew) and Julia Wears and five great grandchildren, Cameron, Hunter, Charlotte, Maddox Moxley and Sofia Vera.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Marilyn graduated from the former St. Mary's School in McKees Rocks, PA and was a parishioner of  Archangel Gabriel Parish(formerly St. John of God and St. Mary's parishes)

Marilyn worked for many years at the former Technician Training School, Sears and Kmart.  She was most often recognized around the area from her years working at Kmart.

The final committal service will take place on May 23, 2022 @National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA @11:00 a.m. and  officiated by Father Regis Ryan. Followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at Rockefellers Restaurant, Kennedy Twp. PA.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asked that those who knew and loved Marilyn, to honor her by doing a kind deed or planting a flower in her honor, she would love that.
