Marilynn Cushman, 80, of Leesburg, died Aug. 2023 at her home.

A memorial service will take place at Colonial Funeral Home, Fri. Sept. 1, 11:00am - 12:00pm.

Born November of 1942, in Washington DC, she was the daughter of Raymond and Mary.

Mrs. Cushman was raised on a farm in Loudoun County, yet attended Osbourn High School in Manassas, and attended James Madison University. She remained a lifelong resident of Loudoun County, primarily residing in Leesburg, VA.

Marilynn retired from The Town of Leesburg Tax Dept., in dealing with the public, she created a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.

During her career, Marilynn also worked for the City of Fairfax and as a Loudoun County School teacher.

Marilynn loved her gardens, fishpond, and wild birds. She gained great joy from her grandchildren, friends and pets.

Marilynn is survived by two sons, three grandchildren, and many friends.

Memorials may be sent to Johns Hopkins Childrens Center or the Ronald McDonald House, or the charity of your choice.
