Marion Rebecca McAboy, 86, formally Marion Connor,  passed away on August 02, 2017 in Leesburg.  She is survived by her husband Wilco McAboy of Winchester VA,  daughters Connie Gier of Harper's Ferry WV,  Sharon Connor of Paeonian Springs VA, son Douglas Connor of Gore VA, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born on May 07, 1931, the eldest daughter of the late Charles Adron Saunders and Rebecca Elizabeth Bell of Ashburn VA, she is survived by her sister Jean Thornton of Frederick MD,  Charlie Saunders of Chattanooga TN, Jimmy Saunders of Purcellville VA, and Jerry Saunders of Friendsville TN. A brother, Clarence Saunders of Napa Valley, CA, preceded her in death.

Previously married to the late John W Connor of Ashburn VA and Lovettsville VA, she helped with the family farms, worked for Thompson's Dairy, Southern States and Loudoun County Public Schools. She achieved an LPN degree specializing in geriatric care in Clarke and Frederick Counties in Virginia.

She enjoyed playing softball, playing cards, roller skating, reading, music and exploring historic sites and local folklore.

Services will be at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg VA at 11:00 am on Monday August 07, 2017 followed by graveside service at Union Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to Capital Caring Hospice.
