Loving, devoted husband and father Mark J. Clinton, MD, FCCP, 59, passed away on August 13, 2018.

Born on March 14, 1959 to proud parents Mark and Catherine (McCormack) Clinton, he was raised in both Ardee Louth County and Kells County Meath in Ireland until the age of 7.  He then emigrated with his parents to the USA in 1965, becoming a United States Citizen in 1975.

Dr. Clinton attended Rutgers University in New Jersey where he obtained an Undergraduate degree in 1981 and attended Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey until 1986.  He served his Residency and Fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital, Long Island, New York.  He was board Certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine serving 20 years Private Practice Office/Hospital in Woodbridge, Virginia and 5 years Critical Care Intensivist at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia.

Mark was a loving husband to Geralyn Mary Clinton whom he married in June, 1986 and loving father to daughters: Courtney Anne Clinton and Geralyn Catherine Clinton.  He was also a loving brother to Patrick Clinton; loving uncle to Rachael and Catherine Clinton; loving brother to his sister and brother-in-law: Cathie Clinton Correia and Mark Correia; loving uncle to nieces and nephews: Mark Caitlin, Christopher and Thomas Clinton.

But above all he was a follower of Jesus Christ all his life.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 2018 between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176.  A Mass of Christian Burial with funeral service to follow is scheduled to be held 11:00 am on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg, Virginia.  Burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.
