Rev. Marthell Hicks, Jr. passed away on June 27, 2020. Marthell was born on November 18, 1958 at Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma, the second child of Marthell Hicks, Sr. and Estella E. Hicks. He graduated from Friendly High School in Fort Washington, MD class of 1976 and Grambling State University in Grambling, LA class of 1982. He received his Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK in 1997.

Marthell is survived by his wife Ailene I. Rocha-Hicks and children Curtis N. Rocha, Marthell Hicks III, Sofia I. Hicks and his sister, Johnnye Yvette Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his father Marthell Hicks, Sr., mother Estella E. Hicks, and brother Marvin Hicks.
