Mary Kathleen Beattie, 92 of Leesburg, Va. Formerly of Sierra Vista, AZ, passed away on January 08, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born in Squire, WV to the late Clyde Hunter and Ollie Bell Griffith Burnett.

Kathleen worked over 30 years for the Federal Government in accounting wherever her husband's Navy career took them. She retired from the US Army Information Systems Command, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

She loved her Yorkie (Pixie) and treated her like a child. She loved baseball & was an avid fan of The Arizona Diamondbacks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald of 50 years. A sister, Elizabeth Miley and 3 brothers, Clyde Burnett, Jr., Douglas Burnett, and Jack Burnett. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Whitt and husband Clarence of Sterling, VA. And many Nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, she requested to be cremated and there was no funeral. Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg is handling her cremation, and her ashes will be placed with her husbands at the Southern Arizona Veteran's memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, AZ.
