Mary Elizabeth Caldwell of Leesburg, Virginia died unexpectedly on December 3rd, 2008 at the Inova Children's Hospital Fairfax, Virginia with her family by her side. She was 11 years old.
Born in Dothan, Alabama on April 13, 1997, Mary is the daughter of Robert K. and Jeanne M. (Nanartowich) Caldwell.
Mary was a very special girl with many varied interests. She enjoyed ice skating, swimming, horseback riding and drawing. She was an active bowler, holding several high score records in her league. She also was involved with the Girl Scouts and many programs at her church. Mary had a unique way of looking at the world, which made for some interesting times for family and friends alike. Whether she had a mischievous grin on her face or a soft smile as she was drifting off to sleep, Mary was a special girl and will truly be missed.
Mary leaves behind her beloved parents, Bob and Jeanne Caldwell: sisters Erin of Tempe, Arizona, Katheryn of Leesburg, Virginia; and a brother Robert (Bobby) of Leesburg, Virginia. She has joined her maternal grandparents Felix and Jane Nanartowich in eternal peace. Mary is survived by her paternal grandparents Robert and Rebecca Caldwell of Annapolis, Maryland, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Monday, December 08, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, Virginia. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at 2 p.m. at the Leesburg community Church in Leesburg, Virginia. Interment will take place on December 13 at 11 a.m. at Peacedale Cemetery in Highland Falls, New York.
