Mary Lou Groves - Fowler

Born September 16, 1934 in Clarke County, Virginia. Mary was called home to the Lord peacefully on Friday November, 18th at her home in Charles Town, West Virginia.  Mary was The daughter of William and Lillie Groves and was preceded in death by her brother William "Billy" Groves and sister Betty Groves- White. Mary was married to Edward "Eddie" Fowler and had 2 daughters Cathy Fowler-Lesko and Judy (Fowler) James and has 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends.

She was creative and hardworking with a unique range of life experiences that included running her parents 80 acre farm to being a seamstress and a professional caregiver. She was a wonderful storyteller and a great listener who always offered loving advice and wisdom.

We will miss your kind humor and long for the day we meet again.

We invite friends and family to celebrate her life with us on Wednesday November 23rd.  Visitation at 10:00 am followed by the memorial service starting at 11:00 am Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg VA. Burial will immediately follow the service at Old Chapel in Millwood, VA.
