Mrs. Mary Inez Sewell, 94, of Ashburn went to be with her Lord Monday, July 9, 2018 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Sewell was born July 8, 1924 in Morganton, N.C., a daughter of Hinkel Monroe Lingafelt and Beulah Henson Lingafelt. She felt a call on her life to love others deeply and share her faith freely, both of which she did well. She met her husband, Norman, while working on the Hill and attending Capital Hill Metropolitan Baptist Church in D.C. There was no greater joy for Mrs. Sewell than time spent with and caring for her family. She was a warm hostess and a faithful servant. Beyond her faith, one might attribute her long life to the sweet tea and dark chocolate she enjoyed and shared so often. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sewell was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Sewell, sisters, Macie Stratton, Vivian Schuszler, Rassie La Tella; and brothers, Manuel, Oscar, and Richard Lingafelt. She is survived by her daughters Carol Sewell of Van Nuys, California and Paula Bouffard and her husband Tom, of Hamilton, Va.; grand children Hannah Howzdy of New York City, Alexander and his wife Haley of Leesburg, Virginia, Amelia Bouffard of Barcelona, Spain, Avery, Ashton, and Aslan of Hamilton, Va.; great grand children Blythe, Boaz, and Penrose Bouffard of Leesburg, Va; sister Margaret Digh and her husband Earl of Morganton N.C.; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on August 4, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, VA  20176 where a service will begin at 11:00 am.  A private Interment will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery. Mrs Sewell's final call took her from the darkness of this world into His marvelous light.
