Maureen Plunkett Thoman, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009. Maureen, born in Pittsburgh, PA and a resident of Ashburn, VA was the beloved wife of 15 years of John R. Thoman and the loving daughter of Leo T. and Ruth M. (dec.) Plunkett of Pittsburgh, PA.

She is cherished by her 5 siblings: Patrick J. Plunkett (Kathy Matesic), Edie Turna (Ayhan), Mary Beth Paladino (Bernard (dec), Leo Plunkett II (Mary Kay) and Kevin Plunkett (Donna)

Maureen was the proud Aunt of 7 nieces and 6 nephews and the Great Aunt of Amber and Thomas.

Ms. Thoman was a dedicated 25 year employee of Booz, Allen, Hamilton.

Maureen will be missed by her many friends and relatives.

A Celebration of Maureen's life will be held Tuesday, May 19 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE Leesburg, Virginia from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church 21370 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA 20146.
