Maury I. Barksdale, 83, a resident of Leesburg, VA and a native of Blairs, VA passed away on Nov. 29, 2017.  He was a graduate of the Virginia Tech School of Business in 1956.  He served in the United States Army in Verdun, France from 1956-1959.  Employed by Southern Railway 1959-1963 and by RF&P Railroad-CSX Corp from 1964-1992.  He was predeceased by his parents, Charles & Eva Barksdale and his sister Nancye Hedrick.  He is survived by his wife, Sarah E. Barksdale, daughter Angela Barksdale and son in law Barry Cuneo.

A memorial service will be held on Jan 20th 2018 at 12 noon at the Norris Funeral Home, 3995 Franklin Tpke, Danville VA.
