Melissa Ann (Rosenberg) Thomas, 40, of Lovettsville, died Sept. 4 after her 4 year battle with colon cancer. She was born April 20, 1971 to Kenneth John Rosenberg and Karen (Shelia) (Bailey) Rosenberg in Round Hill, VA. She is survived by her husband, Clint Thomas, and daughters Victoria, Hannah, Abigail, Caroline and Laura, and her brother, Chris Rosenberg of Winchester. Loving wife and mother. She is greatly missed. A time of visitation for family and friends has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, 2011 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176. The funeral service will be held September 8 at 11am at Blue Ridge Bible Church, 770 S. 20th Street, Purcellville, Virginia 20132. Burial will follow the service at Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, Virginia. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made out to Amy's Army, an organization whose mission is to meet the needs of any and all women who are battling cancer.
