Obituary
Mike Kline of Ashburn, VA, passed away on February 24, 2016. He was 42 years old. Mike was born on July 18, 1973 in Tehran, Iran to William Kline and Parivash Kline-Moon. He was the elder of their two sons.
Mike grew up in Leesburg, VA, and was educated in Loudoun County Public Schools, graduating from Loudoun County High School in 1991.
After High School, Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves from 1993 to 2002, receiving an Honorable Discharge upon his departure. Mike maintained a reverence for military duty, making a point to always thank veterans for their service.
Professionally, Mike was a pillar in the Active Directory community, earning five Microsoft MVP Awards in Directory Services. Mike spent the last two years working for Microsoft as a Senior Premier Field Engineer, a position he described as his dream job. For many years, Mike also volunteered at Douglass Community Center's Midnight Madness program for at-risk youth in Leesburg, VA.
For the past six years, Mike lived in Ashburn, VA with his fiancée, Michelle Dixon. He was a wonderful role model for Michelle's son Trevor, with whom he developed a remarkably strong bond. Mike loved Trevor like his own son, and Trevor loved his "Mr. Mike."
Mike was a caring, understanding, loving, and generous person. He had an amazing sense of humor, which endeared him to all who knew him. He was highly intelligent, and very devoted to his career. Mike loved animals, and was especially fond of dogs and cats.
Mike is survived by his parents William Kline and Parivash Kline-Moon, brothers Andy Kline and Blake Kline, sister Gina KlineBurgess, fiancée Michelle Dixon and her son Trevor, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with services following at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE Leesburg, VA 20176.
